getPresented. ("we", "us") builds and hosts websites for small businesses across the UK. This page explains what information we collect when you contact us, enquire about a website, or visit this site — and what we do with it.

We've kept this short because we've kept our setup simple: the only tracking on this site is ad-measurement tracking, it only runs if you accept it via the banner, and we don't sell or share your information with anyone outside the few tools listed below that help us actually deliver the service.

01Cookies

We use one tracking tool: the Meta Pixel, which helps us understand which ads led to someone contacting us or buying a website. It's only active if you click Accept on the banner shown when you first visit — if you click Decline, or simply don't respond, no Meta cookies are set and no data is sent to Meta. You can change your choice at any time by clearing your browser's site data for getpresented.co.uk.

Aside from this, we don't use advertising or tracking cookies of any kind. Our analytics tool (Umami, see below) doesn't use cookies at all, with or without consent.

02What we collect, and why

We only collect information that you choose to give us, or basic technical data needed to understand how the site is used. We don't collect more than we need.

When What we collect Why
Get started / enquiry form Business name, your name, phone number, email, WhatsApp number (if given), business details, and anything you write in the message or notes fields To understand your business and reply with a quote and next steps
Contact form on a client site Name, email or phone, and your message So the business you're contacting can reply to your enquiry
WhatsApp Your phone number and message content To answer your question or discuss your project
Making a payment Payment details (handled entirely by Stripe — we never see or store your card details) To process payment for a website build or hosting
Browsing this site Anonymous, aggregate analytics — page views, general location (country/region level), device type. No individual visitor is identified. To understand which pages are useful and fix anything that isn't working
Browsing this site, if you accept the cookie banner Meta Pixel data: pages viewed, buttons clicked, and hashed contact details from any form fields you fill in To measure which Facebook/Instagram ads are working and improve ad targeting

03The tools we use

We rely on a small number of trusted third-party services to run this site and respond to enquiries. Each only receives the information needed to do its specific job.

FormSubmit — handles form submissions from this site and delivers them straight to our inbox. FormSubmit does not use cookies on our forms.

Stripe — processes all payments. Stripe is PCI-compliant and we never see or store your full card details.

Umami Analytics — a privacy-focused, cookie-free analytics tool. It tells us in aggregate how many people visit, which pages they look at, and roughly where from — without identifying individual visitors or tracking anyone across other websites.

Google Workspace / Gmail — we use Gmail to send and receive enquiry emails.

GitHub Pages — hosts this website's files.

Meta Pixel — used only if you accept the cookie banner. Helps us see which Facebook/Instagram ads led to an enquiry or sale. Meta may set cookies and receive hashed contact details you enter in forms on this site (e.g. a hashed version of your email, not the email itself) to improve ad matching. See Meta's own privacy policy for how they handle this data. We don't use Google Analytics or any other advertising/retargeting tracker.

04How long we keep your information

If you enquire but don't go ahead with a website, we'll keep your details for up to 12 months in case you'd like to pick things up again, then delete them. If you become a client, we keep the information needed to run your site and hosting for as long as you're with us, plus a reasonable period afterwards for our own records (typically up to 6 years, in line with standard UK accounting practice).

05Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

To do any of these, just email us — see below. We'll respond within 30 days.

06Who we share information with

We don't sell your information, and we don't share it with advertisers. The only sharing that happens is with the tools listed in section 3, each of which processes data only to help us deliver the service to you. If you're a website client, your contact form submissions go directly to your own inbox, not ours.

07Changes to this policy

If we change how we collect or use information, we'll update this page and change the date at the top. For anything significant, we'll let existing clients know directly.
